Digital X-Rays are one of the most valuable medical diagnostic tools in veterinary medicine. Digital X-rays are highly useful for screening areas of the body that have contrasting tissue densities or when evaluating solid tissues. City View Animal Hospital is equipped to perform modern digital radiology services to identify many types of illnesses or injuries when your pet is sick or has suffered trauma. Digital X-Rays are also a useful tool for routine wellness screening.   

Digital X-rays can be used to detect a variety of ailments including arthritis, tumours, lung abnormalities (including pneumonia), bladder stones and kidney stones. They are also used to evaluate bone damage, organ integrity and to identify foreign objects that may have been ingested. Your veterinarian may recommend x-rays as a part of a diagnostic procedure if your pet is experiencing a health issue or as preventive measure during routine senior wellness examinations.

In situations where we require a specialists assessment of your pet's x-rays, digital radiology makes it very simple to send images out so we can get information back for you quickly. 

When an ultrasound is recommended for further assessment, we can accommodate ultrasounds in clinic with services from a local ultrastenographer, or we can book an appointment for you with a local referral hospital.
